Are you looking for The best water parks in the UK? Well look no further. Club Hub UK has done a quick round up of some fabulous water parks around the UK that you and your family will have tons of splashtastic fun in. Of course you can always also take a look at our directory to see if you can find a water park closer to you.

Water parks are a fantastic fun day out regardless of the weather! Club Hub has created this list of water parks that we think are great. There are so many to choose from so we have tried to include a few from each region.

Of course your child can go along to a water park if they can’t swim (check individual terms and conditions). But please do not leave them unattended, don’t allow them on faster slides with deeper water, ensure they have floatation devices and follow the rules of the pool. If you would like your child to know how to swim, you may want to consider taking them to swimming lessons. Swimming is such an important skill to have and could literally save your child’s life.

Without further ado, let’s have a look at some of the best water parks in the UK:

Sandcastle Water Park (Blackpool)

Sandcastle Water park is a fantastic place to start for our best water parks in the UK list. It’s apparently the UK’s largest indoor water park with more than 18 slides and attractions including the world’s largest indoor roller coaster waterslide, wave pool and master blaster!

Admission includes a 3 hour session and is £12-£22 per person. Under 3s go free.

Calypso Cove Water Park (Barnsley)

If you are looking for best water parks in the UK and you are located towards the North of England you should definitely take a dip in Calypso Cove!

They have some of the fastest waterslides in the UK. The theme park has a pirate theme and you can walk the plank, race on splash ahoy or choose your own music when you ride the kraken. For the parents there is also a much needed cafe on site

  • Sessions are 1.5 hours.

Waterworld is definitely one of the best Water parks in the UK, this tropical indoor water park definitely ticks all of the boxes. you will have so much fun. It has over 30 rides and attractions for non-stop fun, it has lots of fun exhilarating slides as well as a wave pool, rapids, flumes and even a lazy river ride too. If the weather’s good the day you visit you can even take a swim outside to the outdoor pool. It also has a poolside cafe.

Alton Towers Water Park, Staffordshire

Not too far from Waterworld is another water park that we would say is one of the best water parks in the UK too.

When you are here it literally feels like you’re beachside in the Caribbean at Splash Landings Hotel in Alton Towers, inside the water park you’ll find a Master Blaster ride, a waterfall in Lagoona Bay and the interactive Wacky Waterworks (water cannons, buckets and wheels.) In the summer months, there is an outdoor section including a soothing ‘Bubbly Wubbly’ pool and the Flash Floods outdoor flume adventure. Entry to the water park isn’t included with a standard Alton Towers ticket, but it’s worth adding on to extend your theme-park staycation for another day.

At Splashdown in Dorset, there are 13 rides to choose from, and planning your sliding schedule is all done online. In summer, many rides divert to outside courses for outdoor water fun. The park closes during winter for general maintenance and upkeep.

It has flume rides, a wave pool and a big main pool. Alpamare is definitely one of the best water parks in the UK in our opinion…why? Well it also offers a little extra for the grown ups. It has a beautiful 35-degree heated infinity pool filled with healing iodine water and has a stunning view of the beach, there is also an on-site spa, with a sauna, a hammam and lots of treatments you can enjoy.

We definitely think this water park fits in our best water parks in the UK article. The amazing water park offers both indoor and outdoor water play for all ages and abilities.  With breath-taking flume rides, beach style paddling, slides for all ages and themed cafes, there really is something for everybody.

They also have an adventure playground and a splash pad outside, and Ninja Tag that you can book Separately

Newquay Leisure World

Newquay Leisure World is actually a leisure centre but has slides, flumes,and everything one of the best water parks in the UK should have for just £4 for children. It was formerly known as Waterworld and Newquay Trampoline & Play Park, is Cornwall’s go to place for ultimate family fun. There is everything you need to ensure a day of fun all in one convenient site. There’s plenty of parking and the centre is easy to reach using local transport. For the children (big and small!) there is a trampoline and soft play park filled with fun features offering everything you need to keep the smiles flowing for the whole family.

Their large, tropical themed leisure pool boasts flumes, slides and a giant floating snake. The onsite café is perfect for refuelling in between activities. The centre also boasts a 25m swimming pool, 45 station gym and an extensive fitness class programme. The main pool is also home to our successful Better Swim School programme, which caters for children of all ages and abilities.


Andersonstown Indoor Aqua Park – Northern Ireland

To round up our best water parks in the UK we are zooming over to Northern Ireland for this one.   Andersonstown Indoor Aqua Park is the largest centre of its kind in Northern Ireland, offering three high speed water slides, an indoor surf simulator and a children’s adventure aqua play area.

You can splash and slide into the Aqua Play adventure area, a huge fun zone for under 12s complete with a tipping bucket, miniature slides and water canons. Little Lagoon is a perfect way to introduce babies and toddlers to the water with a shallow pool and slide.

This is not just one of the best water parks in the UK but also the home of Surf Belfast,  Ireland’s only indoor surf simulator. Experience the thrill of catching a wave, whatever the conditions outside. High power pumps simulate a wave sheet to challenge riders.

Sealife Centre Weymouth has a splash zone that is a fantastic place to play. You can meet playful Asian Short Claw otters and their adorable colony of Fairy penguins- the only colony that you can see in all of Europe! You can also explore their newest attraction, NIGHT & DAY! Experience the 24-hour wonder of a coral reef as it moves from night to day in their re-imagined Ocean Tunnel display. Dance along the bioluminescent tropical shore and then journey underwater, surrounded by Blacktip reef sharks, Green sea turtles, and a stunning tropical fish.
