About Club Hub
Tessa Robinson – Founder and Director
Hello my name is Tessa Robinson. I graduated from Kent Stage Academy of Performing Arts in 2013 where I studied Musical Theatre for two years. Having gained a lot of experience appearing in short films, feature films, commercials, pantomimes and Theatre in Education tours I decided to create “Tessa’s Jazz Hands” as I wanted to start up a project that I felt passionate about. At the time I found it really difficult to advertise my kids club to the local community. All my pupils were coming through word of mouth and I didn’t have the money to spend on advertising in local magazines which is where my idea for Club Hub came about. What if there was a directory where parents could input their location, child’s age and interest and a list of results for children’s activities would come up in mile order?
In 2016 I decided to enter Ideas Britain’s #InSport Competition (a dragon’s den style app) where I took second place. I was able to develop my idea with their mentors and start to create a website and social media pages which is when Dorset Tech got in touch who offered to create my website and app for an amazing price. In August 2016 Club Hub UK went live on the App Store, Google Play and on the Web.
It now receives over 80,000 views every month and has over 22,000 Kids Clubs and Children’s Activities registered offering toddler activities, indoor activities for kids, kids events, indoor play areas and kids activity boxes available to order online. So if you’re searching for “kids activities near me” then our resources can help.
I have won numerous awards including the #SBS Award with Theo Paphitis. The #Queenof Award with The Royal Connection. The #WOW Award with Jacqueline Gold and the #SmartSocial Award with MarketMe. I have also been a finalist in the Best Business Woman Awards and been a Judge for the Wales Children’s Activities and Services Awards.
Suzanna White – Editor and Marketing Consultant
My name is Suzanna and I am a freelance Marketing Consultant and Administrator working for Club Hub UK the children’s activities directory.
I have a degree in English literature and after graduating decided to branch in to marketing. I have worked in the telecoms industry, a marketing consultancy and my last job before having children I worked in the marketing department for an Autism Charity.
I now have three children: 2 girls and a little boy. I first came across Club Hub UK when searching for children’s activities for my eldest girl. I was so amazed to find baby classes around me that I didn’t even know existed! I then set up my own local musical baby class called Rhyme & Sign. I always had full classes and so many parents found me through Club Hub it is such an amazing marketing tool for Club activity and kids activities providers.
This is my third year working for Club Hub and find Tessa (the owner) an absolute delight to work with. She is passionate about the directory and just such a lovely person. I truly love working for Club Hub as it gives me so much flexibility to earn money whilst being a full time mummy to my young children. Club Hub allows you to easily find online classes for kids, indoor activities for kids, indoor play center’s, things to do with toddlers and places to take kids and even activity boxes for kids you can order online.
Emma Hewitt – Event Manager
I have been working for Club Hub as a freelance marketing and event manager since September 2019. I first discovered Club Hub when I started my own franchise business in 2016. I ran mum2mum market sales and advertised them through the directory, as well as introducing the local kids clubs I worked with to Club Hub, to promote their classes and spread the word to local parents.
I have two young children and have made lots of friends and contacts, who are running fantastic kids clubs, kids activities and classes. My working background has been mainly in universities, I have had a range of roles, but spent most of my career in international student recruitment. I managed marketing campaigns, organised and represented the universities at recruitment fairs, led student counselling sessions and managed a number of scholarship schemes.
I have a masters degree in Education and a professional diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Previous to working in higher education, I worked in school libraries and many moons ago I ran a small dance school. So my role at Club Hub sort of brings it all together.
