Online Cello and Piano Lessons

Activity Description

Hello, I’m Melanie and I’m a Musician, Teacher, Performer, and Composer.

Lessons with me are encouraging and fun, and I’m a very patient person. I am autistic myself, and have worked with children who also have Autism. I have also worked with students with Dyslexia and Dyspraxia. I offer Cello and Piano lessons online to individual students of primary school age and above. I gained some teaching experience when I was 16, and my regular teaching began in 2005 while I was a postgraduate student in San Francisco. (Taster lesson given first – £22.50. Lessons thereafter given in blocks of 4 – £90.00)

I have taught Cello and Piano for many years to a large age range. For children keen on the Cello or Piano, starting lessons when they are of primary school age is ideal. Beginning these instruments at a younger age (i.e. above 3 years old) is also fine. I currently teach online which is just as good as face-to-face  lessons. Good internet connection is essential.

Lesson fees: £22.50 for 45 minutes, £30 for 60 minutes.
Another opportunity I have for students keen on the Cello, is the online course I have created: this is called, “Learn Cello from the Beginning!” and contains 30 lesson videos (divided into 2 Sets). My Musical Qualifications are a Masters Degree (San Francisco Conservatory, Bachelor’s Degree (Royal Northern,  Manchester), and four Teaching Certificates (Colourstrings, UK/Finland, and Music Together, USA). Please see my site for more details: www.cellointhepark.com
