Our Thursday 9.30am toddler class in Middlewich is made for curious, busy little people who want to move, explore, communicate and have fun.

Happy Little Signers is an award-winning signing class combining signs based on British Sign Language (BSL) with speech, songs, sensory play, music and movement. Our Middlewich toddler session at St Mary’s Parish Centre is suitable from around 14 months or walking through to a child’s 4th birthday.

Toddlerhood is an incredible stage of language development, but it can also bring frustration when children know exactly what they want to tell you but don’t yet have all the words they need. In our Middlewich toddler classes, we introduce signs that children can use alongside their developing speech, helping give them more tools for communication.

We learn through play rather than expecting toddlers to sit and concentrate for long periods. Sessions feature songs, bubbles, sensory activities, props, parachutes and changing weekly themes. Repetition helps children build confidence with familiar signs while new vocabulary keeps things interesting.

And yes, toddlers wander off! They might have a snack, need a cuddle, refuse to join in with one song and then enthusiastically throw themselves into the next. That’s all welcome here.
