Our Thursday 11am Middlewich baby class takes place at St Mary’s Parish Centre and is suitable right from birth until around 14 months or walking.

We teach simple, useful signs based on British Sign Language (BSL), always alongside spoken language. Babies understand far more than they can say, and signing provides a visual cue to accompany the words they hear. As their communication develops, babies can begin using signs themselves to express needs and interests before, and alongside, spoken words.

There’s no need to know any BSL before coming to class. We introduce signs gradually through songs, repetition and play, helping you feel confident using them naturally with your baby at home.

Our baby classes in Middlewich also provide lots of opportunities for sensory exploration. Sessions can include bubbles, scarves, music, parachutes and colourful sensory props, all incorporated into engaging themes.

We know life with a baby doesn’t run to a timetable, so classes are deliberately relaxed. You’re welcome to feed, change, cuddle or settle your baby whenever they need it. If they sleep, that’s fine too. There is no pressure for either of you to perform.
