Activity Description

Interactive Online Small Group Social Skills Sessions. Social Understanding • Social Skills • Social Learning
*TRY YOUR FIRST SESSION FOR JUST £10* Experience the programme before committing to the full course. This educational small-group programme is designed for children who may benefit from additional support in understanding and preparing for the social, practical and organisational demands of secondary school.
Some children naturally pick up social expectations, routines and unwritten rules, while others may find these more difficult to recognise and interpret. Through discussion, activities and real-life scenarios, children will explore the social and practical aspects of secondary school and develop a greater understanding of what to expect.
The programme focuses on social understanding, perspective taking, decision-making, organisation and independence skills to help children navigate new environments, routines and expectations with greater understanding.
Key Areas Covered
• Understanding the structure and expectations of secondary school
• Understanding social situations, hidden rules and social expectations
• Developing friendship and communication skills
• Managing change, routines and increased responsibility
• Strengthening organisation and independence skills
• Developing decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Applying social understanding to everyday school situations
