What to expect at Baby Classes Near Me?
Are you asking yourself “What am I to expect at Baby Classes Near me”? This past year has been a strange year indeed. Due to COVID-19 many expectant and new mums have had a very different experience during their pregnancy and first stages of caring for their little bundle.
Many mums during Lockdown have not been able to attend baby classes. They have had to be done virtually (if at all). Club Hub wanted to let new mums know all about baby classes near them, what to expect and their top tips when joining them. We have spoken to the Top Baby Class Businesses to give their views and we thoroughly recommend visiting their websites and finding a baby class near you.

What to Expect at Gymboree Play & Music Classes
Gymboree Play & Music is the global leader in early childhood development programmes with classes in over 700 locations in 40 countries. Our classes utilise a unique and impressive combination of music, movement, props, imaginary play, and custom-designed and patented apparatus, all to create a fun and magical world where children learn, thrive and most importantly have fun.
We’re delighted to be able to welcome you back to class in our centres across the UK! Keeping you, your little ones, and our teams safe is still the most important part of what we do so our Covid Play Policies remain in place for now.
- Classes are smaller than before to allow for social distancing
- We’ll take your temperature on arrival
- All adults must wear face coverings unless exempt, and our teachers are wearing appropriate PPE
- We ask you to sanitise your hands when you arrive
- We’re thoroughly cleaning the apparatus, mats, toys and props between every class
- Toys and props are not being shared between families
- Activities have been adapted to reduce any risk so we’re using bubble machines, singing less and playing recorded music, and limiting Gymbo cuddles!
- We ask you not to come to class if anyone in your household has any covid symptoms
But it’s still lots of fun! Don’t take our work for it, this is what our members have said recently:
“… Fun! Clean! Very professional! Definitely recommend!!!”
“ .. absolutely loved it and it was great to see kids having so much fun after lockdown.”
“… we’re so happy Gymboree Play & Music is back and we are ready to make up for lost time!”

Little Learners – What to expect at Baby Classes Near Me?
Little Learners is a fun and educational messy play class that encourages children from the age of 5 months to 5 years to start mark making! We follow the early year’s curriculum and make sure that they’re not just learning about mark making and writing, but learning about shapes, colours and it hugely helps with their vocabulary. Expect lots of slime, gloop, paint, pasta, sand and loads more for your child to get stuck into, and the amazing part is.. you don’t need to clean at the end of the session!
Depending on the age and characteristics of your child, we recommend getting them started in the dry trays and sitting them next to the resources so they can explore at their own pace. Once they see the other children, your child will get used to their surroundings and start to explore all the other things like toys, spoons and different materials. Your child might get straight stuck in the mess, and some others not, so we also got a range of activities within the classes to help with their fine motor skills.
Children love to fill and empty containers and learn about capacity as well as learning about the different textures colours, feels and names!
Don’t forget for your child and yourself… wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy! Babies love to have a cuddle when they are covered in soap foam, custard and flour… Babies often wear just a vest or nappy and older children will have their own “messy play clothing” set to wear each week.
Come and check it out for yourself! We also cover birthday parties and events so we can cater to your absolute needs!
For 2021 all classes are Covid-19 secure and they are adjusted in line with government guidelines. We’re currently giving children personal tools to use around the classes to minimise contact and all social distancing is in place.
