All students in primary and secondary school are welcome to experience the MagiKats effect, which offers individually designed programmes and support for students of all abilities. Students attend weekly workshops where they can extend their knowledge, consolidate skills or get extra help.
Our workshops are the heart of the MagiKats programme and are planned to give each individual the maximum benefit through a range of approaches, including written and practical activities. Workshops are supported with the development of core skills.
Our friendly learning environment promotes confidence and a love of learning. Students work individually or in small groups, with 1-2-1 support when needed. Topics are grouped to support the school curriculum.
It’s not just about maths and English though! Our Reasoning programme helps students not only prepare for 11+, grammar school or private school exams, but helps any student improve their ability to apply learning to other areas of their life.
Whether studying English or maths, all MagiKats students also work on thinking skills, problem-solving skills and social skills. We don’t just aim to improve a subject, we aim to help the whole child.

Advance Tuition – The Best Tutors for Kids in the UK
As the pandemic brought the country to a halt and parents everywhere took on the huge challenges of home-schooling, experienced teacher and tutor, Hannah Baker saw demand for her online tutoring business expand rapidly.
Nearly one year on, Advance Tuition’s programme of online group classes has grown to support children of all ages, with a great variety of classes, to ensure that even in lockdown, children can continue learning, interacting and having some home-school fun!
With busy classes running in Maths and Literacy (Key Stages One & Two) and a popular SATs Club, children can keep up with their curriculum and maintain the ‘learning habit’ which will help them so much when they can return to the classroom.
Lockdown has inspired other classes too, including creative writing and French, along with book and times table clubs! Small interactive groups learn together over Zoom, with either Hannah or Emily leading classes and making sure that everyone learns, has fun and leaves the lesson with a smile on their face!
Feedback from parents:
‘Hannah’s teaching style is really engaging and encouraging. She engages every child in her lessons which really extends their confidence level and also inspires them to learn more. Hannah’s tutoring hours were a highlight for my son at the end of lockdown. She covered so much in a short time, clearly explaining everything and my son loved the interaction with others. Highly recommend!’
“Emily delivers organised and effective classes while oozing her radiant personality which keeps my children looking forward to every lesson “
Homework is optional but always provided to back up the learning from the class. Courses run on a half termly basis and prices start at just £30 per six-week course.
