Activity Description

Our Tinies & Teacups Community is for expectant parents and new parents with babies aged 0-18 months. It is a not-for-profit group run by volunteers. It takes place on Tuesdays 11 – 1pm at Belper Community Hall. The group is designed to provide a safe space for parents and expectant parents to chat, make friends and share experiences. Toys are available for babies to play and we have two volunteers on hand to offer advice on a range of parenting issues.

We have a small lending library of useful books on a range of parenting topics and a professional baby weigh scale, height chart and head measurement tape to enable parents to get their babies weighed and give them peace of mind.
We hope to include free baby massage sessions within the group shortly and have recently introduced a sensory music element which happens weekly for 20-40 minutes. intermittently which will help baby to develop key skills and give parents ideas of activities to do at home – this will runs (approx.) 11.15-11.45.
The group is PAYG and include unlimited hot/cold drinks and biscuits for attendees. Cost is £4.50 for parent & baby and £2.50 for expectant parents or additional adults. Pay in advance for 4 consecutive sessions for £14. You can book online via Happity or pay on the day using Sum Up.

The group is completely not-for-profit group. Any money taken is used to pay for Hall hire and drinks and used to provide additional services such as First Aid training, breastfeeding support etc. We are also going to be inviting other relevant suppliers in to talk to our parents e.g. photographers, cloth nappy suppliers and similar.
