Times: 5:00-5:45pm Mondays
This single-term foundation course in instrument learning welcomes children to the world of musical instruments. We’ll be exploring what it’s like to learn an instrument – the rewards and the challenges, the excitement and motivation, the practice routine and performance.
Children will learn musicianship skills that apply across all instruments, and they’ll get a feel for what music lessons involve.
The course focusses on ukulele as the key instrument for children to learn, and includes demonstrations of other instruments such as piano, violin, cello, clarinet, flute and singing.
This course is a great platform for trying out music lessons before committing to a particular instrument.
A ukulele (£15-30) will be required to take part in this course.
Teacher: Fiona Long plus guest instrument teachers.
A limited number of means-tested bursaries are available for families with financial need. Please contact us for more information.
