Nonsuch Young Company Advanced is Nottingham’s most creative Youth Theatre for children aged 12-15!

Nonsuch Young Company (Advanced) is an exciting new youth theatre from Nottingham’s fastest-growing creative venue & theatre: Nonsuch Studios.

Each week, Nonsuch Young Company Advanced will have the opportunity to build on their interests in drama and theatre making learning skills so you have Everything you need to make a play, be it acting, devising, directing, stage production, performing etc. NYCA is a place for young people to be themselves, build confidence, develop theatre skills, make friends and have fun.

Each group will work towards a public sharing performance in the summer term, along with our Home Rangers group and NYC group. This will be a relaxed event and a chance for all Nonsuch Studios’ young performers to showcase their work for friends and family at the end of the year.

We are launching the new term of NYCA with a 6 week project with Chronic Insanity Theatre company.

For six weeks, Nonsuch Young Company Advanced will have fun trying out a broad range of theatre making techniques with Chronic Insanity. These sessions are all about creating together, building confidence, developing skills and having fun. They’ll include:

Devising
Set design, with projection mapping
Lighting design
Sound design
Storytelling
Directing
