Journey back in time and be transported to a Stone Age winter this February Half-Term.
Frozen February – A Stone Age Winter is a fun and educational adventure that takes you back to pre-historic Britain. Running during the local school holidays, from 10th February – 18th February 2024.
Our hunter-gatherers will bring your Stone Age winter adventure to life with interactive talks. Learn how early man lived and survived to combat the freezing temperatures. Discover the ingenious ways they kept warm by making their own clothes, watch mesmerising fire lighting demonstrations and learn how our ancestors adapted to the weather by finding and building shelters in the long dark winter months.
There will be a chance to ask our knowledgeable hunter-gatherers questions about life in the Stone Age, photo opportunities for those wanting to dress up in pre-historic costume and you can even create your own animal brass rubbing.
Take part in our fun quiz in the Museum of Pre-History. Follow the clues around the museum and learn lots of new facts, discover amazing artefacts unearthed in the Cheddar area and find out what life was like here in Cheddar Gorge.
Frozen February – A Stone Age Winter is included in the price of a day ticket, so you can enjoy all six exciting attractions.
