Episode 5 – Rachelle Hutt, Mess Around Ltd.

Hello, I am Rachelle proud owner of Mess Around Ltd and Sub-Editor at Business Success Network in Children’s Activity Providers.

Mess Around Ltd has been my passion for the last 4 years, starting life as a franchisee as it fitted my ethos and values on what Children’s activities should look like and then took over as franchisor from the lovely Krissy in 2021. We are all about children learning through play and allowing them experiences that they might not get at home. We want to bring families together to create memories, have fun and with no stress! As a primary teacher, I am well aware that Messy Play is so important to our children’s development but as a Mum, I understand the pain of not wanting it in the house! That’s why Mess Around is the perfect fit! Where else can you come and find over 12 different messy activities and not have to worry about cleaning up? http://www.messarounduk.com/

I started working with Stacey Calder at The Business Success Network 12 months ago, the pandemic hit our industry hard and I for one felt that we were forgotten, we play such an important part in the early development of our children (our future) that we should be recognised and championed alongside all the other industries out there, so we created a Children’s Activity Providers group and have just launched our first Magazine (at The Club Hub awards!) in our group we have lots of fellow activity providers but also lots of businesses to help scale and grow our business too. Almost like a one-stop shop! We plan to keep adding to the group and will be hosting meet-ups and masterclasses too! http://www.facebook.com/groups/bsnchildrensactivityproviders

Episode 6 – Claire Munday, Tappy Toes

Claire Munday is the founder and creator of Tappy Toes. She started dancing at the age of 3 and has danced all her life. After a successful 10 year career as a professional dancer she set up her own Dance school RISE Studios in Rickmansworth and Watford, Hertfordshire, and created the Tappy Toes brand and syllabus.

Having run the Tappy Toes toddler dance classes for a few years and being asked about setting them up in various other areas, Claire decided to franchise Tappy Toes so that children all over the UK could learn to dance in a fun and imaginative way. The Epping classes were set up after Claire made the move from Watford to Epping, Essex. Having taught them for a few years, Claire took time out to have her children and classes are now taught by the lovely Miss Jasmine. Over the years Claire has tweaked and added to the syllabus, introducing the Teeny Toes baby classes after having two children of her own and not finding a baby dance class for that age group, and expanding to offer Baby ballet classes, Tip Toes. Tappy Toes now offers dance classes for all babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers.

Claire’s mission is to get all our little ones moving, and to instil a real love of dance and the arts at a young age. Claire also teaches teenagers, and has noticed a real rise in teenage anxiety over the last few years. She is extremely passionate about introducing children to dance as young as possible, in the hope that they continue with it into adulthood. It is such a great stress reliever and releases those happy endorphins that keep our mental health strong! Find out more about our Franchise Opportunities

We have a created a place to belong for our students and franchisees alike.”
