Activity Description

Theatretrain Basingstoke offers Advanced Dance Classes in Basingstoke for young performers aged 9–18 who want to develop their dance technique, versatility, fitness and confidence.

Our Advanced Dance class provides an additional hour of focused dance training, giving students the opportunity to develop their skills beyond the dance training they receive as part of our Main School performing arts programme.

Students will explore a variety of dance styles, techniques and choreography, helping them become more confident and versatile performers. Classes also focus on core strength, fitness, flexibility and the technical foundations that are so important for young performers wanting to progress in dance and musical theatre.

As part of our Advanced Dance Classes in Basingstoke, students will also develop their ability to pick up and perform choreography and explore dance audition techniques, including what to expect when attending a professional dance call.

The class is designed to challenge and inspire young performers while providing a positive and encouraging environment in which they can develop.
