Royal Sutton Coldfield Youth Orchestra

Activity Description

A mixed ability youth orchestra for school age children. No prior experience required but having an early level of sight-reading ability is useful.
Repertoire is chosen to suit individual players experience. We accept students who are learning any musical instrument from pre-grade 1 to grade 8+.
We perform in 3 concerts a year, including our summer concert where our youngsters get to play along side the Royal Sutton Coldfield Orchestra (adult symphony orchestra).
Rehearsals are on Friday evenings from 4.30-5.30pm during term time.
We hold regular social events for our members to get to know each other and build life long friendships through music.

We have an auditioned orchestra for players grade 4+ who also rehearse on a Friday, though members are expected to play in both ensembles.
