Famlingo Sign Choir (Online)

Activity Description

Our Online Sign Choir started during Lockdown and had members joining from all over the UK. We’ve been meeting ever since 2020 and some of our members have now met in person which is amazing!

Sign Choir members meet via Zoom every Friday at 7-8pm during term-time. We use British Sign Language (BSL) and all levels are welcome. No prior knowledge of sign language or sign songs is needed. Sessions are informal, friendly and always full of fun and laughter!

Under 18s can be accompanied by an adult or with permission from parent/guardians. If you have any questions before joining, please contact us

Expert-Led Sessions
This Sign Choir is led by the wonderful Paul Whittaker who is passionate about signed song and raising the standards of this art form. Paul is an inspirational speaker, musician, performer and workshop leader who is profoundly deaf. To find out more about Paul, please visit his website.

Sign Choir is open during term-time and sessions close during the school holidays. The membership has been calculated with this in mind and is paid on a monthly basis.

As a Sign Choir Member you’ll be able to join the weekly Sign Choir sessions, have unlimited-access video Sign Song Library and be invited to join the members only WhatsApp group.

If you would like to join a single Sign Choir session, please email to inform us which Friday date you would like to join. Please ensure your Zoom display name matches your contact name so we can approve you into the Zoom meeting on the date you selected.

Member Support Group
We love to keep in touch in between the weekly sessions and Sign Choir Members do this via our private WhatsApp group. All members are invited to join this friendly and supportive group where we share updates and other pleasant things to keep us going from week to week!

Sign Song Library Access
To help with practising sign songs between sessions, Sign Choir members will gain online access to Paul’s teaching and performance videos via the Sign Song Library.
