MSAOD is an award-winning dance school and is the current ‘Dance Studio Of The Year 2024’.  Offering high quality training in all aspects of the performing arts, The Michelle Sidwell Academy of Dance is a  school where all pupils are taught in a caring, encouraging and professional environment.

All teachers are fully qualified and DBS checked. All pupils perform in our annual production at The Bob Hope Theatre as well as performing in other events throughout the year and can choose to participate in ISTD dance examinations. It doesn’t matter if you want to dance for fun or for a career in dance, there is a class here for you. We teach a wide range of dance disciplines to pupils from the age of 2 ½ years old.

MSAOD is registered with, and offers examinations accredited by, the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD).

We are a performance based school and MSAOD dancers take part in a variety of community events each year, and every class performs at the Annual Showcase in February.

Prices are competitive and we offer a very generous 20% discount for all siblings.

Examinations follow the World-renowned ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) & LAMDA syllabus. They are a high standard faculty which is regularly monitored and audited by OFQUAL to ensure that standards are maintained. This stamp of approval reassures parents that the ISTD qualifications are comparable to those that your children study within the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) at school. Examinations from Grade 6 upwards also offer UCAS points, towards your child’s application form for university.
