✨ Magical, Creative Performing Arts classes and events for little people across Yorkshire!
The Little Yorkshire Dance Academy is an award-winning performing arts school founded in 2019, offering magical, creative dance classes and events for pre school children and their families across Yorkshire.

We specialise in early years dance education, with all our dance teachers holding dance teaching qualifications. Our classes are designed for children who are moving around to 4 years focusing on imagination, confidence, and physical development through fun and engaging classes. Each session is themed and includes music, props, and storytelling to spark creativity.

We have classes to suit all ages of preschool children:

🌈 Mini Movers
A child’s first introduction to dance – a forty minute magical class for both parent/carer and toddler
Focusing on fun, gaining confidence and developing strength through balance and coordination. Encouraging imagination and a love for dance using a variety of music and props based around our changing class themes.
This class is for children who are moving around up to 2 and a half/3 years, however we do have children come along who aren’t yet stable on their feet but can very much still join in with their parent/carer!
Each pupil will receive a delicious snack after their class to regain energy after all that dancing!

🌈 Pre School Performers
This is our next class up for your little people. A 40 minute class enhancing imagination and physical development through dance.
Children explore a variety of movement, rhythm and basic ballet steps. Your child will gain confidence whist making new friends in a fun filled environment.
We absolutely love seeing the friendships our little people make in this class and how their imaginations are ignited through dance.
Age: From 2 1/2 – Pre School age
Each pupil will receive a delicious snack after their class to regain energy after all that dancing!

🌈 Little Acrobats:
Led by Acrobatics Arts qualified teachers, this exciting, high energy new class is themed around the animal kingdom, providing a fun and interactive way for your little ones to discover the basics of acrobatics. Through gentle exercises inspired by animal movements, children will learn to balance, roll, stretch, and tumble, all while developing strength, flexibility, and coordination. As they mimic the movements of animals, they’ll also improve their motor skills, body awareness, and balance – the perfect class to compliment dancing! 
Ages: 26 months – 4 years
