B arts (Beavers Arts ltd) – Stoke-on-Trent Kids Clubs and Activities
B arts (Beavers Arts ltd) is a combined and participatory arts organisation founded in 1985. Our artistic vision is to produce high quality arts experiences with people from many different backgrounds who would not normally engage with the arts. We aim to strengthen the cultural infrastructure in our area; increase the diversity and range of artists and producers working in the region, and offer quality and depth of engagement in the arts to all.
Our vision is of a society where everyone has an equal chance to take part, and by taking part can make change for the better in themselves, their place and their communities. Our aim is to improve the lives of people and the places in which they live through creative and cultural interventions.
We work locally, nationally and internationally. In 2014 we moved into an ex-industrial building in Stoke on Trent and created a new front door for the organisation with our community-led real bread bakery, Bread in Common.
B arts is an artist-led company, run by a small staff team and full of associate artists. We are governed by our Board of Trustees, made up of volunteers from across the UK.
B arts are an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation – a network of arts and cultural organisations that reach diverse audiences with high quality work. We bring our experience of the arts and education to make positive contributions to cultural developments and cultural leadership in our city.
B arts cafe Bread In Common is open every Friday 12-2pm for Pay as you Feel lunch, made from surplus waste food donated through the Fareshare scheme.
We have a monthly Climate Cafe where we have a Pay as you Feel lunch and free creative activities for all ages themed around sustainability, on the first Saturday of the month, the next two are Saturday 4th February and Saturday 4th March, in our building 10-3pm. Butterflies Wonderland – Stoke-on-Trent Kids Clubs and Activities
We are a family run business of a mum and two daughters who aim to inspire the imaginations of your little ones through crafts, make-a-bear and play. Through the week we run toddler sessions, recommended for 4mths-6yrs and these include access to a range of play areas including a sensory room, imagination zones and outdoor space. On different days we have different additional activities such as craft, story time or nursery rhyme time.
At the weekends, we offer private hire for a choice of children’s party packages; regular events such as themed discos, meetings with mascots and parties with princesses and in-between all of this memory making we strive to put time aside for more relaxed sessions including play with the admission fee being deducted from optional crafts and bear-making which start from just £4. For all of our weekend activities we would recommend 1-9yrs.
We also have a range of refreshments available including hot and cold drinks and snacks as well as a gift shop zone in our entrance space which consists of additional crafty and creative activities to take home, toys, and handmade creations of our own.

Family Fun Roller Disco’s – Stoke-on-Trent Kids Clubs and Activities
We cater for all ages and abilities from beginners to professional’s everyone is welcome.
Offering skate hire from junior size 8 to adults’ size 12 or bring your own.
We run regular sessions from January 6th and 7th 2023 on Fridays at Alleynes Sports Centre and Saturdays at Biddulph Valley Leisure Centre and also Brough Park Leisure Centre.

Northwood Valiants Basketball Club – Stoke-on-Trent
Northwood Valiants Basketball Club have been operating in the Stoke-on-Trent area since 2004 and was originally established for the purpose of offering underprivileged kids in the Hanley area a chance to be part of a community. The club has grown over the years and we now offer basketball to kids of all ages and abilities between 6 and 18, with two adult’s teams also operating in the West Midlands Basketball League.
Basketball is a fast paced 5 a side sport that allows participation for kids of all ages and ability. Teamwork, communication, coordination and cardiovascular fitness are all areas which playing basketball will help improve. The club is affiliated with Basketball England, the nationally governing body which sanctions all competitive areas of the sport.
At Northwood Valiants we aim to teach basketball to beginners in the form of fun scenario-based games which will help improve player’s dribbling, passing, shooting and decision making abilities. Sessions are designed so that individual and team progression is praised, and areas for improvement are highlighted.
As the club was initially set up to help the disadvantaged, our ethos is that all kids should be able to play the game and participate, regardless of social or financial position. As such, we take measures to ensure our sessions are as affordable as possible, with sessions for Under 7s and Under 12s costing just £3 for an hour and Under 18s sessions priced at £5 for Two hours.
All of our sessions take place at the YMCA in Hanley, session times as follows:
- Under 7s – Saturday 9-10am
- Under 12s – Saturday 10-11am
- Under 18s – Saturday 11-1pm

S4 Swim School Stoke-on-Trent
S4 Swim School Stoke-on-Trent offers Intensive swimming lessons, through a specially designed swimming Crash Course, that takes place over half terms, Easter holidays and the summer holidays. We have designed our intensive swimming courses to give your child a boost in their swimming development. On the S4 Swim Intensive we limit the class size to no more than 5 children, so that greater attention to detail can be placed on each individuals swimming development.
