Big Mouth Theatre is proud to be growing, with the launch of new locations that allow even more young people to discover confidence, creativity and a true sense of belonging through drama.
Our newest venue in Fareham has just opened, and we can’t wait to welcome local children into the Big Mouth family.
At the heart of Big Mouth Theatre is a simple but powerful belief: every child has something special to offer. Through the medium of drama, we help young people believe in themselves and their abilities in a way that extends far beyond the stage. Our after-school drama clubs, weekend theatre programmes and holiday drama camps for under 16s are carefully designed to nurture confidence, communication and self-expression.
These are not run-of-the-mill drama classes. There are no auditions, no competition and no pressure to be “the best”. Instead, children are encouraged to explore, make friends and feel proud of who they are in a supportive, inclusive environment where everyone matters.
Drama gives children the tools to grow – learning to speak up, work as a team, take creative risks and celebrate their individuality. These life skills stay with them long after the curtain falls.
As proud members of the Children’s Activity Association, and winners of Club Hub’s Family Business of the Year 2025, Big Mouth Theatre continues to build strong foundations as it carefully opens new locations and reaches more communities nationwide.

Drama Kids are teaming up with claymation legends Aardman Animations (the creators of Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep!) to deliver unique, creative workshops for children and young people. After rave reviews for these workshops last year, Drama Kids can’t wait to host even more across the UK in 2026, kicking off with Wolverhampton on the 25th January. Read on for more info on what to expect and how to book.
Who are Drama Kids?
Drama Kids is one of the UK’s leading drama academies for children and teenagers aged 3- 18. Delivering a dynamic and award-winning curriculum that empowers young people to find their voice, build confidence and strengthen communication is the aim of every class.
Weekly sessions use drama, improvisation, movement, vocal skills and script work to give students free rein to express themselves, make friends and have fun in a warm and welcoming class environment. Students learn how to speak with confidence, share ideas and work with others, these are skills that aid emotional awareness and relationship building.
With academies across the country, you can find your local Drama Kids studio at dramakids.co.uk.
The “In The Studio” Experience
These “In the Studio” workshops (open to both Drama Kids students and non-students) unite Drama Kids’ child development and drama expertise with partner brands in the arts to create unique educational experiences for children. In this particular collaboration with Aardman Animations, participants have the chance to work directly with professional Aardman model makers and Drama Kids practitioners to explore their creativity and gain insights into how characters are brought to life on screen. The session is designed to build confidence, creativity and communication skills while giving students a rare behind-the-scenes look at the world of animation.
In the three-hour workshop, children explore drama, storytelling and animation and try their hand at making their very own claymation story!
What to expect
Participants will take part in drama-based activities focused on storytelling, character development and performance. They will then design and build their own clay model, create a storyboard and begin animating their character using Aardman’s animation style, guided all the way by experts in their field.
At the end of the session, each child can continue their creative journey with their very own clay model character to take home. Plus, they will receive a certificate to show their friends and family.
How to book
If you’re sold on the ultimate experience for creative kids and aspiring movie makers, you can book their place at the next In the Studio event in Wolverhampton on the 25th January, and keep an eye out to future events across the country, here:

Wandering Emotions walks are not just strolls; they are activity-packed journeys designed to help children (aged 5–12) and their accompanying adults have fun, and connect with nature and each other. We turn local parks into vibrant, temporary classrooms where imagination runs wild.
The Perfect Blend of Play, Art, and Calm
Wandering Emotions brings together the perfect mix of engaging activities along every route. We focus on a holistic approach that nurtures creativity, expression, and wellbeing:
Breaking the Stigma
We believe that emotional literacy is vital. We want to help families break down the stigma around mental health by making conversations about feelings and wellbeing a natural and comfortable part of everyday life.
The non-judgmental outdoor setting provides a perfect backdrop. Through activities like Mindful Moments and Expression Games, we offer children a safe space and the simple tools needed to name and express their full range of emotions. This open dialogue helps children develop resilience and gain the language and confidence to seek support when needed.
Accessible to Every Family
We believe that wellbeing support and connection with nature should be accessible to all. That’s why our tickets are offered on a ‘Pay What You Feel’ basis.
