2. Colour-In Easter Sack – Alice Palace
Alice Palace have been producing personalised hand-illustrated gifts to make you smile since 2004. Our colour it in Easter sack is a great craft activity for kids of all ages in the Easter holidays, and can be personalised with any name. It’s fun to colour in, and afterwards use to collect eggs. 3. Easter Craft Workshops – Crafty Cabin at the Museum of Power
At the Crafty Cabin we love all things crafty from parties, workshops and events! We believe that everyone can be creative when they are given a calm and relaxing space to take some well-deserved time out. Come along and enjoy all that our craft room has to offer on one of our open days,  book a party or a workshop or join us at one of the many events held at the museum. Outside of event days booking is advised to ensure that the cabin is available.
The Crafty Cabin will be running their popular family Easter craft workshops on the 10th, 16th, 17th and 18th April. The workshops include a bunny or easter egg canvas, a bunny or chick clay character to make, a squishy Easter egg and …… the chance to make a big pot of super gooey Easter themed slime! All attendees will receive a half price family ticket voucher to the Museum of Power where you can also access the Museum’s easter activities and enjoy a full day out. On Thursday’s only in the School holidays you can also enjoy rides on the miniature train and visit the Astaria fairy village.

8. Sand Art Workshops – Sand Arts & Crafts in Morecambe & Lancaster
This Easter, families can enjoy colourful, creative activities with Sand Arts & Crafts across Morecambe and Lancaster. Our workshops are designed for children aged 3+ and focus on creativity, imagination and learning through play. Children love watching the rainbow layers form as they create their own sand art pictures and pendant decorations with safe, coloured sand.
Safety is very important to us, especially given recent recalls of some craft products. The sand used in our activities is specially produced for children’s crafts and is asbestos-free, non-toxic and not linked to any product recalls. It is naturally dyed coloured sand that does not stain hands or clothing, making it suitable for family workshops, community events and schools. All sessions are fully hosted, so children can enjoy the creative process while parents and guardians relax and watch their artwork come to life.
Sand art is also a calmer alternative to many craft activities, which is why many families tell us it works particularly well for children who enjoy sensory play. The gentle process of pouring and layering sand can be very relaxing and supports fine motor skills, colour recognition, and confidence. Our sessions are inclusive and welcoming, and we regularly work with families attending sensory-friendly sessions in partnership with Bee Unique Autism.
Our upcoming Easter and spring events include a Sand Art Easter Workshop at Gallico Lounge in Lancaster on 29 March, a SEN sensory Easter craft session at Bee Unique Autism on 4 April, and colourful spring sand art activities at the Morecambe BID Market on 18 April. Families can also join us again at Bee Unique Autism for sensory crafts on 2 May, followed by a Spring Sand Art & Teddy Workshop at The Platform, Morecambe, on 3 May.
