We teach age-appropriate BSL signs for you to use at home with your baby. Tiny babies can respond to the signs you make and eventually make them for themselves, making them an active participant in family life rather than a passive observer.
This is a class for YOU, to help strengthen the bond with your newborn baby, deepen understanding of their behaviours and help your baby transition through the ‘4th trimester’.
What can you expect at a TinyTalk baby class?
Weekly themes such as bedtime, family or a trip to the park give you the signs you need to share baby’s world and daily routine, using British Sign Language (BSL)
An interactive music class featuring well-known nursery rhymes, action songs, specially composed music and instruments
Hands-on sensory activities delight your baby and develop all-round communication skills such as vocalising, listening and taking turns. They also stimulate your baby’s senses, encourage their tracking skills and develop their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
TinyTalk is for toddlers too. Our quality classes continue to develop your child’s communication skills whilst you’re having a brilliant time together.
The classes will build toddlers’ speech development, confidence and social skills by singing familiar TinyTalk action songs and reading stories your child loves.
We will learn a wider range of BSL signs and concepts such as counting, emotions and colours. And have lots of fun during our language games.
Each class contains a communication-themed activity to support your child’s development.

Tiddlekicks offer football coaching sessions for parents and toddlers aimed at babies, toddlers and pre-school children. What makes it so different to many other toddler football programs you may have heard of is basically down to the ethos of what it is all about!
Tiddlekicks aims to provide children that are aged between 6 months and 5 years with structured, planned sessions to help them to develop a variety of skills that improve their physical development and provide them with a great introduction to ball skills from a young age.
Based on the fundamentals of football, the sessions that we run offer so much more than just teaching children the basics of football – they provide children with range of basic skills that help in all areas of life.
We recommend children joining us for a 3 week trial costing from £18, which can be booked using our booking page- https://tiddlekicks.class4kids.co.uk
Our sessions are either mixed age groups, stage 1 (6 months- walking), stage 2 (walking-3 years), stage 3 (3-4years) and stage 4 (4 years plus). Our current sessions are held at Chester Green, Hilton, Oakwood and Ripley. To check which sessions are currently running our most up to date schedule is available on our booking page.
As part of the Tiddlekicks ethos all children will purchase a Tiddlekicks membership kit after the trial sessions. Membership kit costs start from £40 and include a football kit, achievement record and much more.
Our classes are fun, energetic and developmental. Lots of props – puppets and instruments to parachutes, disco lights and bubbles – and exciting and unusual songs help to ensure children have a great time and learn while having fun. We rotate fun themes – Underwater, Transport, Space, Jungle and others – and all activities have specific learning outcomes to help your child’s development. As our activities are so engaging, your child will be so busy having fun that they won’t know they’re learning too! Each week your class fee also includes an online video, so if you can’t attend you don’t miss out!
Twistin Tinies Adventures
Our Tinies Adventures cover sensory and developmental fun to music; plus social time to discuss problems, get questioned answered and meet other parents. We focus on tummy time, sensory, skills development, speech, language and communication and include baby signing so that you can communicate with baby right from the start.
Each week, we have a different themed Adventure – from Enchanted Castle, Space and Jungle to Seaside, Ocean Blue and Day at Home. We have lots of fun – all of our activities are innovative and engaging – and at the same time they help you to bond with your baby and your baby to develop essential skills.
Classes include access to an online area where you can view our weekly video and get tips on things to do and make, and read useful articles on subjets, such as weaning, sleeping, babywearing and messy play (amongst others!). Join our Private Twistin Tinies Facebook page and discuss issues with other parents, ask questions and get advice from our Experts.
Socatots delivers football inspired activities for children ages 6 months to 5 years. A completely unique aspect of the programme is active parent participation, we teach everyone and parents work with their children to accomplish each exercise. As many as two million children in nearly 60 countries have already embarked upon a remarkable adventure with Socatots
Who We Are
Socatots uses football as our medium and children attending sessions will develop their skills in this area, however, Socatots is about a great deal more than just developing a child’s affinity with and control of the ball – it is about giving them a well-rounded start in their physical, social and educational development and working on the ‘whole child’.
What We Do
Attending regular classes with other children of a similar age, our students master both motor and social skills, accompanied by their parents and our Socatots coaches. In addition to physical development all of our methods of structured play help children learn numbers, colours, the alphabet and their body parts. At the same time we focus on building their communication skills and self confidence. The result is a balanced child whose motor skills, memory, concentration, and fitness are all enhanced.
Socatots’ mission is to engage children the world over in physical activity, using football as our medium. We use play based learning to promote movement patterns, balance and motor coordination in children. We value and cultivate perseverance, concentration, memory and general cognitive abilities in young people. Most importantly, we ensure that physical activity is fun. Everything we do is centred around helping children develop first as people, then as sports enthusiasts.
Brazilian Soccer Schools (BSS) is one of the largest grassroots football training organisations in the world. We attribute our success and popularity with children to our structured approach to training and proprietary syllabus of 200+ individual core movements and skills. . We teach our players to initially focus on acquiring their individual all round technique and mastery of the ball. As they mature mentally and physically, their training will start to incorporate tactics as well as the physical and mental chapters of our training programme. We have never bought into the myth of natural talent or overnight success, what we do believe in is hard work, perseverance and practice. Our philosophy is that through an increased number of training hours involving constant repetition players can refine and improve their skills in all areas of the game.

● Full safety procedures to comply with Government regulations
● Lockdown has been a challenging time for children who have missed socialising, sports and creative outlets
Stagecoach Derby is now enrolling new students. Following the lockdown period, the local performing arts school will soon reopen for the Summer term, restarting their acclaimed performing arts lessons. In preparation for schools reopening, and in line with the government guidelines, Stagecoach is introducing a range of safety measures to ensure children are kept safe.
Extracurricular activities have always played an important part in children’s development and it has been a challenging time for children who thrive with a creative outlet. Performing arts can have a positive impact on mental wellbeing in young people, including reducing anxiety, stress and combating depression. It can help to boost confidence and make children feel
more engaged and resilient. Stagecoach encourages children to learn, grow and thrive in a creative environment.
Stagecoach Derby’s principal, Hayley Greenway Yau, commented: “We will be getting back into teaching the next generation of talent very soon! We are committed to building ‘Creative Courage for Life’, the performing arts have been proven to build confidence and improve broad range of life skills such as public speaking, resilience and empathy. We can’t wait to get back into venues with our students, providing a crucial creative outlet for the next generation of stars in Derby!”
As classes move back into the venue, the safety of students, families and staff is of paramount importance. Safety measures being introduced include social distancing, hand sanitiser in the classroom, assisted movement from one classroom to the other and health and safety signage amongst others. Full information on how Stagecoach will keep children safe can be found here.
Stagecoach is the biggest network of extra-curricular performing arts schools in the UK and is responsible for talent including Emma Watson (Harry Potter, Beauty and the Beast), Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot, Fantastic Four) and Eleanor Tomlinson (Poldark, Jack the Giant Slayer). The classes are divided across early stages (ages 4-6), main stages (ages 6-15) and further stages (ages 15+) and cover singing, dancing and acting.
During the lockdown period, Stagecoach Derby hosted a range of live lessons called ‘stagecoachathome LIVE’. Just like in-person classes at local venues, the live classes covered singing, dancing and acting disciplines in a safe virtual environment.
For more information about Stagecoach Performing Arts, and to enrol please visit their website or contact your local Principal.
