Here at Club Hub we have put together our highly recommend list of Brighton & Hove Baby Classes, Toddler Activities, Kids Clubs and Kids Activities to get in touch with. There is a huge range of Brighton & Hove classes, ideas and fun things to do. So, here are “The Best Brighton & Hove Kids Clubs and Kids Activities.”
Debutots interactive storytelling and dramatic play classes develop children’s confidence to speak, concentration to listen and their creative and critical thinking. Children explore complex themes and feelings in a safe and happy environment through storytelling and drama techniques. With a different and original Debutots story every week, our fully trained and highly-skilled practitioners transport children aged 6 months to 7 years old into a magical world of fun and adventure through the powerful medium of storytelling.
The three core elements of our classes are: Story, Drama and Play
Story builds the foundations for literacy and promotes skillful communication. In class, children speak, listen, imagine, observe and do.
Drama techniques foster cognitive development. By children jumping into a fictional world where they recall a story and discover and speak for themselves, their thinking, reasoning and memory skills blossom and grow.
Play grows a child’s positive sense of themselves and of others. In our safe, imaginary world, children build an understanding of themselves and a sense of community as a group.
Baby Story Play (6 to 23 months). Dipping tiny toes in the world of stories, words and sounds, our unique sessions for under 2’s are a multisensory blend of storytelling, puppets, bubbles and movement to music.
Early Years Drama (2 to 5 years). After each week’s story is told, the children’s creative responses are facilitated by a skilled practitioner into an imaginative group retelling. They have the freedom to take the story where their creativity urges. The more confident they become, the more we’ll challenge their thinking skills through techniques such as improvisation and tableaux.
“Steve has the children captivated by the way he delivers the stories. The children are engaged and their imaginations are being enriched, including those with less confidence.”

Our multi-award winning classes will introduce your baby to a world of sensory exploration. Where the two of you can relax, have fun and share in each other’s delight. For ours is a magical world, full of glowing balls, light shows, puppets, bubbles, rainbows, petals, massage, signing and songs. Imagination is a vital part of childhood. And together we’ll dance in the snow or dive under the waves, trek through a rainforest and sing the shanties of sea pirates.
We have a vast wealth of equipment and songs – many unique to us – and you’ll never experience the same lesson twice. What also makes our programme so groundbreaking is that every element has been meticulously designed with your baby’s development in mind. Created by Dr Lin Day, it’s the result of a lifetime’s work and study and testament to her overriding passion to inspire and educate children and support their parents.
We love sharing our knowledge with you, regularly explaining what we’re doing and why. For the first year of your baby’s life is one of the most important, when, soon after birth, the brain starts creating two million new connections every second! And understanding more about your child’s development will really enhance what’s already a very special time.
You can join us at any point, and we’d encourage you to begin as soon as you feel able. Because routine is important, every session is structured to follow the natural play-rest-play cycle of babies. What’s great about this is that each week you’ll have the opportunity to chat with others in a relaxed manner. Which is brilliant for forging friendships as the weeks go on, sharing tips and experiences at a time when you’ll probably really appreciate the support.
We’ve done the research; so you can enjoy the fun.
Puddle Ducks baby and pre-school swimming classes are for children from birth to four years of age and families can start swimming with us at any time (subject to availability). Our teachers also adapt the activities to suit each child’s individual needs.

Ask any new parent in Brighton what activities they will be doing with their new baby you will find swimming comes high up their list. Living by the sea is amazing but teaching water safety for your children is also essential and we believe it can never start too soon, even the youngest of babies can learn key water safety techniques.
As one of the first baby swim schools in the UK we have been teaching our little dippers’ programme for almost 30 years. Our aim is to teach babies key water safety techniques in a way that is both fun and nurturing. As well as teaching skills that could one day save their life, swimming is also great exercise for your baby helping to build stronger heart and lungs and has been shown to aid in their cognitive development and improved eating and sleeping patterns.
Classes are kept small to maintain a calm and relaxed environment for both parent and baby and provide the perfect opportunity to spend some special one on one time with you and your baby. Plus it’s a great way to meet other new parents.
Our classes in Brighton take place in our flagship purpose built warm water baby swim centre in the heart of the city and also in a beautiful private spa pool on the outskirts of the city for those coming from further afield.
Once we are able to re-open our pools, classes will be available to book online at www.littledippers.co.uk or call one of our team on T: 01273 229 390.
