Get ready for an exciting week of aviation challenges, flying, investigation, navigation, and air traffic control at BYP Manchester. This immersive 5-day holiday club is designed for students who want to experience what it’s really like to think and operate like pilots and aviation professionals.
Throughout the week, students will develop real aviation skills through simulator flying, teamwork challenges, navigation exercises, and exciting aviation missions — building confidence while exploring the fascinating world of flight.
From airline flying and air traffic control to aircraft investigation and mission planning, every day brings a different aviation challenge designed to inspire the next generation of pilots and aviation enthusiasts.
Throughout the week, students will take part in a range of exciting themed days, including:
🎮 RC AIRCRAFT & AVIATION TECHNOLOGY DAY
Discover the exciting world of RC aviation and how aircraft are controlled. Students will learn the basics of flight, aircraft control systems, and take part in practical flying activities and simulator exercises.
🕵️ AIRCRAFT INVESTIGATION DAY
Become an aviation investigator and uncover how incidents are analysed to improve global aviation safety. Students will work in teams to investigate realistic aviation scenarios and think like real accident investigators.
🎧 AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL DAY
Step into the world of air traffic control and discover how pilots and controllers communicate to safely manage aircraft movements. Students will learn aviation phraseology, practise communication skills, and take part in exciting ATC-style scenarios.
✈️ FLY THE AIRBUS A320 DAY
Experience what it’s like to fly a modern commercial airliner and discover how airline pilots operate safely around the world. Students will explore the Airbus A320 through realistic simulator flying, practising take-offs, navigation, circuit flying, and landings.
🗺️ NAVIGATION & MISSION CHALLENGE DAY
Learn how pilots plan routes, navigate safely, and make decisions in the air. Students will explore headings, maps, checkpoints, and timing before putting their skills into practice through exciting mission-based navigation challenges.
