Activity Description

Following the Associated Board of Dance’s syllabus, combination classes in ballet, modern, and tap offer young dancers a well-rounded and engaging introduction to the world of dance. At the early stages of development, these classes are ideal for building the fundamental skills needed across all styles. Ballet provides structure, posture, balance, and control; modern dance encourages freedom of movement, creativity, and fluidity; while tap develops rhythm, coordination, and musical awareness.

By learning all three disciplines in one class, children experience a diverse range of movement vocabulary, which supports the development of strength, flexibility, timing, and confidence. This variety keeps lessons fun and stimulating, while also helping children discover which styles they enjoy most as they begin their dance journey.

Combination classes also foster listening skills, focus, and discipline, as children learn to transition between different techniques and musical styles.
