Make your own imaginary garden entirely out of scrap materials and objects!
What will your garden look like? What creatures might live there?
Where in the world will your garden be? Or maybe it will be on another planet?!
Join us for a relaxed, playful session exploring the world in miniature.
What’s included:
– Create a miniature garden of your imagining from scrap materials.
– Abundance and wide variety of scrap materials provided
– Sessions are child-led with materials, prompts, and guidance
We will provide an abundance of scrap materials for you to explore and give you any guidance and support you need to bring your ideas to life! Make as many different creations as you want and you can take them all home.
The themes of our sessions are a starting point for your child’s creativity. The Playroom is full of resources and is a space to explore ideas. Your child may choose to do something different which is fine by us!
This workshop is aimed at children aged 5+. Younger siblings are welcome with supervision but please be mindful that we will be using small parts, scissors and glue guns, so it may not be age appropriate.
All bookings include one-day membership to the Scrapstore Warehouse, where you can collect up to a basket of scrap for a donation of £7 (less if the basket isn’t full).
Children’s Scrapstore is a local charity dedicated to making waste things play things. We work with sustainable resources that have been donated rather than going into landfill.
Our focus is on play and creativity, sessions are child-led. We won’t dictate what your child does. We just provide some materials, prompts and guidance for them to explore the materials as they wish.
