Experience the programme before committing to the full course.Many children experience big emotions but may find it difficult to understand why they feel a certain way, recognise what their body is telling them, or know what to do when feelings become overwhelming.
This small-group educational programme helps children explore emotions in a clear, structured, and supportive way. Through interactive activities, discussions, visual support, and practical strategies, children will develop a better understanding of their feelings and learn ways to manage them more effectively.
Key areas covered:
• Recognising and naming different emotions
• Understanding body clues and emotional signals
• Exploring what can trigger different feelings
• Considering how other people may be feeling
• Identifying what helps when emotions become difficult
• Learning positive coping and self-management strategies
• Building emotional awareness and self-understanding
This programme is particularly suitable for children who may find emotions confusing, overwhelming, or difficult to interpret and would benefit from explicit teaching and guided exploration of emotional understanding.
The programme is designed for children who can participate in a small-group online learning environment and engage in discussion-based activities.
A limited number of one-to-one sessions are also available for children who may benefit from more individual support. All social mentors working directly with children hold enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding training. Places are limited. Book today to reserve a space on our Summer Programme.
