Activity Description

Tops Newport a Hi5’s Holiday Club service for school children up to the age of 7 years old at the nursery setting. Not only has the nursery received Outstanding from Ofsted, it was also named Nursery of the Year South 2019 by the NDNA.

The setting for the Hi5’s club is located on the Isle of Wight College site, which is an ideal location for parents regarding pickups and drops offs. We often take advantage of the beautiful surrounding habitats to allow the children to learn about nature through nature! We encourage den building, taking safe risks and exploration which all feeds back into their learning journeys.

Children at Hi5’s will get to take part in a number of activities, including Tops Forest School, we offer a range of different activities, including arts and crafts, cooking, music and movement, science, woodwork, sports and team games and many more! The children also receive a free backpack on enrollment, and can earn badges for different activities they complete, such as ‘I am an artist’, ‘I am a film maker’ and ‘I can sew’. We change our activity plans depending on the time of year, and we adapt them to reflect what the children would like to do and learn about.
