Our interactive small-group sessions help children develop social understanding and social skills. Depending on the programme, children explore areas such as understanding feelings and emotions, making sense of other people and social cues, adapting to change, friendships, belonging and fitting in.
Through discussion, relatable scenarios, activities and guided reflection, children are supported to better understand themselves and others, build friendships, develop independence and make thoughtful choices in everyday situations.
One-to-one social learning sessions are also available for ages 9–18 for young people who may benefit from more individualised support.
All social mentors working directly with children hold enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding training. Places are limited.
