Estrellas Brillantes Spanish Classes (age 0-4 Mondays & Fridays)

Activity Description

¡Hola! Me llamo Rachel and soy profesora de español. I run Estrellas Brillantes (Shining Stars) Spanish classes for 0-15 year olds, using La Jolie Ronde’s tried and tested methodology. I have worked with children in Bolivia (South America) and Glasgow for over 20 years, and it’s a real privilege to be able to share my love of Spanish with so many children each week, and to watch them have fun and learn. I was thrilled to win the Franchisee of the Year award in September 2021 at the Club Hub Awards (and to get to the finals again in 2022!) In 2022, I won a silver award in the Best Businesswomen Awards in the category ‘Best Businesswomen Working with Children and Families’ in 2022, ‘Most loved activity leader in Scotland and N. Ireland’ at the Whatson4Kids Awards and the ‘Acing Adversity’ award at the Single Mums Business Network awards in 2022. This year, I’m a finalist in the Family Network Awards.

Weekly update messages are sent to parents as well as interactive online games, for children to practice what they’ve learned at home.

We also run special fundraising activities in the summer holidays and at the end of each term to raise money for children’s charities in Bolivia and Uganda and we’ve raised almost £20,000 so far for these charities since 2017.

The baby & toddler classes are suitable for children age 0 – 4 years. We use lots of songs, rhymes, makaton signs, stories, parachute games, and bubbles to make classes fun and interactive for little ones.

Classes cost £7.00 a week (per family) paid in blocks each term. The digital music (and small caramelo bear – our class mascot) costs £10 and is available on an app for phones/tablets and it has music from the 2 cds that we use in class with songs/rhymes. I also have a personlized Caramelo prop bag with shakers, bells, ribbons, coloured felt etc to use in class that costs £10 (the total joining fee is £20 which includes the music, bear, props ans personalized bag)

At the Busby classes, we have time for children to play in the playroom, and for parents to chat after class.
