Activity Description

Explore the world of car design and technology this Half-Term at the British Motor Museum! Visit between 14 and 22 February to enjoy a full range of techtastic activities the whole family will love.

From Monday to Friday, join our awesome friends from ‘FUZE’ as we explore the fascinating world of games coding, learning the basics of how this incredible technology works using a Nintendo Switch®! Sign up for one of our free 30 minute taster sessions when you arrive at the Museum, and dive into an exciting coding adventure!

Between 17 and 20 February, you can join Professor Pickle and Doctor Pumpkin in the not-so-secret lab for the Design Techsplosion Science Show! The irrepressible duo are exploring car design, with some mindblowing experiments – you might even have the chance to get in on the action!

The Big Build is returning this Half-Term too! Every day during the week, you can join us in making brick model cars ready to be transported to community pantries across the Midlands. We’ve got plenty of bricks for you to choose from, what we need is your imagination! Once you’ve finished your masterpiece, we’ll take a photo, creating a copy for you to take home, and one for the child who receives it so they know what to build!

Finally, enjoy an informative and fun journey through the Museum. Join our resident designers on the “Techie” Family Tour, between 14-16 & 21-22 February, to answer the question, ‘What is Tech?’. Alternatively, pick up a ‘Driven by Your Senses’ Family Trail for a senses-driven self-guided stroll around the collections, through the lenses of touch, sight, hearing & smell!

All the Half-Term activities are included in your admission too, creating a great value day out for the whole family. Book your tickets today, and let the adventure begin! Check out our website for the full timetable: https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/
