Looking for a fun and free day out with the kids in Leeds?
Be Curious is the University of Leeds’ family activity day. Each year we turn the campus into a hive of free family-friendly activities. Come along and get hands on with the research that happens right here in Leeds.
Everyone is welcome, whether you’re curious about science, arts, engineering, history, or simply enjoy learning something new. Try exciting activities, ask questions and discover how research happening right here in Leeds shapes everyday life.
Our activities are designed for families with children aged 3-11 years. Be Curious is for everyone though. Whether you’re bringing toddlers or older children, there’s something for you all to discover.
We run a quiet hour from 10 to 11am for visitors who prefer a calmer start. Visitor numbers are limited so you can explore at your own pace. If you’d like to get familiar with the space first, you’re welcome to arrive from 9.30am.
