Aerial Hammock 6-15 years (Stockton-on-Tees)

Activity Description

In this group you will learn to work with our aerial hammock for increased flexibility, strength building and impressive final poses. Aerial hammock works using a U shaped soft fabric hammock closer to the ground than the other more circus styles of aerial, and offers a balanced class suitable for most abilities. Our youth classes work with the hammock in a way more akin to Aerial Fusion classes than Aerial Yoga.

This class really explores the versatility of hammock, while stopping short of the upper body strength needed for silks. Aerial is great for children who love to climb, be upside down, who are playful in their movement, or as a complimentary practice to gymnasts or dancers looking to explore new ways of moving. Aerial hammock is ideal for students who are nervous working at height, or who dislike the rigidity of the solid apparatus of hoop and trapeze.

In this group we will offer lots of modifications and variations on each pose to suit all abilities, ensuring no student feels left behind.
