Activity Description

Come and join our Monday Sensory Storytelling classes at our brand new venue, YMCA North Tyneside in North Shields! We have a brand new 5 week course during March and our North Shields Sensory Storytelling classes are jam packed full of fun!

Each week we bring a different brilliant book to life using interactive storytelling, sensory props, messy play and much more!

Our sensory classes are very interactive and we have so much in store for you! We carefully plan our sessions to bring brilliant books to life for your little one with:

 a different exciting story theme each week with puppets and props

 themed sensory and messy play

 beautiful handmade parachutes with sensory lights

 time to explore and play with your little one

 time to meet and chat to other parents

 supports a love of reading from a very early age

All of this fun supports language and communication development whilst also stimulating all of the senses to build and strengthen brain connections.

Venue?

YMCA North Tyneside, Church Way, North Shields, NE29 0AB. The venue is near to the Beacon Centre and North Shields Metro station. The classes will be held in the ‘Hub’, which is downstairs in the building and accessed by a lift for pushchairs. The room is spacious with easy access for pushchairs, baby changing facilities and in a central location to local amenities in North Shields. There is 1 hour free on meter parking directly outside the YMCA (you must still get a ticket) but lots of local free spaces available in the area.
