Adapting to Change: Social Understanding & Social Skills (Ages 10-12)

Activity Description

Learn 2 Be Social provides online social understanding and social skills programmes for children and young people.
Group programmes for ages 8–14 cover areas including understanding feelings and emotions, understanding other people and reducing social misunderstandings, adapting to change and secondary school, friendships, belonging and fitting in.
One-to-one social learning support is also available for ages 9–18, with learning tailored to the individual young person.

Our approach puts understanding before social skills helping children and young people make sense of themselves, other people and everyday social situations before developing the skills to navigate them with greater confidence.
All social mentors working directly with children hold enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding training. Places are limited.
