ACROBATICS Classes – Abstract Dance & Performing Arts

Activity Description

2 weeks £5 trial – ACROBATICS classes – Acrobatics is an exciting class that combines strength, flexibility, balance and coordination with acrobatic skills designed specifically for dancers and performers. Students learn a wide range of techniques including rolls, balances, handstands, cartwheels, walkovers, limbering and partner work, progressing safely at their own pace under the guidance of qualified instructors.
Classes focus on developing core strength, body control, flexibility and confidence whilst teaching correct technique and safe practice. As students progress, they work towards more advanced acrobatic skills and learn how to seamlessly incorporate these movements into dance and performance, enhancing their versatility as performers.
At Abstract, Acrobatics students work towards graded Acrobatic exams with NPAA and have opportunities to audition for the Amber Leigh Acrobatic Performance Squad when they reach the advanced levels. Students may also choose to participate in the National Performing Arts Alliance Awards programme, celebrating achievement, commitment and personal progress. Through expert tuition and structured progression, students develop strength, confidence and resilience whilst enjoying the challenge and excitement of acrobatic training.
