Our Children’s Latin & Ballroom classes are designed to introduce young dancers to the exciting world of Latin and Ballroom dancing in a fun, friendly and supportive environment.
Classes are split into two groups based on age, experience and individual development, ensuring that every child is learning at a pace that is right for them.
Beginner Ballroom | From age 6+
Our Beginner Ballroom group is perfect for children who are new to Latin & Ballroom dancing or are just starting to develop their skills. Dancers will learn the basic fundamentals of Latin and Ballroom, including rhythm, timing, posture, footwork, partnering and musicality.
Alongside traditional Latin & Ballroom styles, we also incorporate fun, current dance trends and popular music, keeping classes fresh, engaging and exciting for young dancers.
As children progress, they will develop their coordination, confidence, musicality and performance skills, while learning how to work both independently and with a partner. Classes encourage teamwork, discipline and creativity, all while having plenty of fun!
Whether your child dreams of taking to the dance floor competitively or simply wants to learn something new, our Latin & Ballroom classes are a fantastic way to build skills, make friends and discover a love for dance.
At UDA, we are proud to be a SEND-inclusive dance school, with experience supporting children with a wide range of additional and physical needs. We are committed to creating a welcoming, encouraging environment where every child can feel confident, included and able to enjoy dance.
We operate with a high staff-to-student ratio of at least 1 staff member to every 5 children, allowing our teachers to provide individual attention, encouragement and support throughout each class. Our aim is to ensure every child feels valued, supported and able to participate at their own pace.
