The Best Businesswomen Awards 2024 have announced their winners at a Gala Awards evening held at the Hilton Syon Park.
Businesswoman Tessa Day from Club Hub won a special recognition award in this prestigious competition which seeks to find the very best female business talent from across the UK.
Club Hub is the UK’s largest children’s activities directory. It provides children’s activity providers with an essential platform to promote their businesses to parents and carers. Parents can locate activities for antenatal to 18 years for free anywhere in the UK.
Providers can subscribe as members and list their activities, with affordable, additional promotion options available. It is completely free for charities to use. We now have over 3,000 members, an 84% returning customer statistic and over 300 5-star reviews on Trustist.
We listen to our members and ask for feedback on a regular basis. Alongside Club Hub, I also continue to run my children’s classes, as I love the teaching, performance and practical aspect of managing this business. This informs my running of Club Hub as I hold the provider’s experience at the heart of any developments and I have firsthand insight into trends and issues affecting the sector.
Despite a challenging economic climate, the innovation, flair and passion of female entrepreneurs shone through. All winners, selected by a panel of business experts, demonstrated their business acumen, tenacity and courage.
The Best Businesswomen Awards are designed to recognise the achievement of female owned businesses and charities across a wide range of business categories and are open to any female business owners.
Debbie Gilbert, the organiser of The Best Businesswomen Awards, said,
‘This is the 10th Year of the awards, and we have recognised over 1000 women since we launched in 2015 across a huge range of industry sectors. The selection process is rigorous and to be one of our winners is a major achievement. The judges make their selections based on business expertise, innovation, and high levels of customer care. Our winners are shining examples of outstanding entrepreneurs who have proved their success to our judges and have shown they have the results worthy of being recognised and rewarded.”
Tessa Day, Director and Founder of Club Hub UK, said:
“I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone that has supported me since I started Club Hub in 2016. My family, friends and husband. I absolutely love my job! Club Hub is a website and app to find kids activities across the UK for antenatal to 18 years. Some of the silver winners at the awards are actually long standing members. Thank you to Debbie and her team for putting on such a fabulous awards night. I was a finalist back in 2019 and a double silver winner so to win this time is incredible.
This special recognition award means the world to me. I feel the children’s activities sector is an industry that is often overlooked, has huge potential to contribute further to the UK economy and would benefit from support and recognition. Childcare is a subject that comes up a lot in networking conversations with business owners. The children’s activities sector offers an increasing range of options for flexible and creative childcare. Giving business owners more time for their businesses, supporting their local community and other small business owners.”
