NICAS Bouldering – Summer Holiday

If you want your child to continue with their NICAS bouldering course over the summer or you are looking to have your child try something new, this is the course for you, run over 5 consecutive days our NICAS bouldering club follows the NICAS scheme.

The National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (NICAS) is a nationwide scheme designed to provide a structured progression for novices through to experienced boulderers. The scheme focuses on introducing young climbers to the skills associated with climbing on artificial climbing walls.
The aims of the scheme are to develop climbing movement skills and improve technical ability: Learn how to use equipment: Develop risk management skills in the sport: To provide a structure for development, motivation and improved performance: To develop an understanding of the sport, it’s history and ethics: To provide a record of personal achievement.

If you are looking for a week of fun climbing session for your child, with a structured syllabus, where they will learn a whole range of climbing skills. This is the course for you.

The club runs Monday to Friday during school summer holidays, same time each day.
