“Thank you so much to Tessa and the whole team at Club Hub for organising such a warm, welcoming and inspiring event. See you next year!”

Her ice breaker session will be creative and fun and get the day going with lots of energy!
Our 2025 Keynote Speakers – Jen, Sue and Malcolm Blackwell
We are honoured to welcome Jen, Sue, and Malcolm Blackwell as our headline speakers for 2025. Their inspiring session will showcase the incredible impact of DanceSyndrome, an inclusive dance charity founded by Jen, who has Down’s syndrome and is a passionate advocate for opportunity and inclusion in the dance world.
Jen’s journey, from struggling to find dance training to leading an award-winning charity, has made her a role model and inspiration. She has received multiple prestigious awards, including a British Empire Medal in 2023 and an Honorary Doctorate from The University of Salford in 2024, recognising her efforts in breaking barriers for people with learning disabilities.
Jen said “Dancing is my life, I am passionate about dance and about supporting people like me to have opportunities in the dance world. Winning awards shows that people with learning disabilities can do amazing things with their lives if given a chance”.
Joining Jen are her parents, Malcolm and Sue Blackwell, whose dedication to inclusion led to the creation of DanceSyndrome in 2009. Malcolm, Chair of DanceSyndrome, brings over 35 years of leadership experience, while Sue, a classical musician, has been a driving force in ensuring people with learning disabilities have the chance to follow their dreams. This unmissable session will feature presentations, discussion, and performance, highlighting the power of inclusion, advocacy, and resilience. You won’t want to miss out.
