Activity Description

Scamps was established in 1988 and is based in the Beechgrove Scout Hut in the West End of Aberdeen; Scamps is a privately run Out of School Care and Holiday Club for primary school aged children; providing much needed care and support for working parents. We provide a warm, friendly, professional, home-from-home environment as well as an active range of engaging activities with our team of fully trained & qualified staff.

Open from 8am – 6pm during all school In-Service days and most holidays except 2 weeks at Christmas & New Year and the last 2 weeks of the summer.

During Holiday Clubs we offer a hugely varied range of activities and trips such as Kitchen Science & STEM, Arts & Crafts, Water Colour painting, Board games, Reading, Football, Dance, Movies, Loose Parts Play, Den building, Dressing up, Imaginative Play, Outdoor Play, Campfires, Gardening & Conservation and Bio Diversity Projects.
Additionally, we go on educational, fun trips and activities in and around Aberdeen City. These include but are not limited to Museum’s, Aberdeen Science Centre, Cinema Trips, Fire Station, Bus Depot and other public services, Ten Pin Bowling and Soft Play Areas on wet weather days. Parks and Beaches for picnics and where the children have freedom to explore in the outdoors. We do baking, cooking, make our own pizzas to eat for our lunch and toast marshmallows on a campfire.

In warmer months we organise our popular Water Splash Days where children play outdoors with Slip’N’Slide, water balloons, water soakers and generally have great fun in the water.
