Julie’s Art Classes – Reading Kids Clubs

Julie’s Art Classes is based in Arborfield Green, offering students from ages 6-16 weekly structured art classes in term time.

I also offer holiday workshops.

I provide all materials and offer a free taster session before enrolment and conduct my classes in my studio in a warm and friendly atmosphere with my assistants. My art classes are designed to build confidence in using many different media and to build selfesteem.

For younger students, we explore a different topic every half term and focus on a different artist and experiment using different media including 3D media in the style of that artist.

My older students, including GCSE and A level students work on their sketchbooks to experiment and develop the skills needed to produce a high standard portfolio.

I also help children achieve art scholarships by building a portfolio with lots of experimentation and annotation to fulfill their school’s criteria.

If you are interested in your child attending, please email me [email protected], or visit my website www.juliesartclasses.co.uk or find us on Facebook www.facebook.com/julieartclasses

StageAbility – Reading Kids Clubs

The Best Reading Kids Clubs and Activities

Since 2008, StageAbility has helped hundreds of children to build their confidence and self-esteem through our high-energy drama classes. In turn, we have helped hundreds of parents like you to worry less and truly enjoy watching their children grow into confident young adults.  Classes cater for the very smallest at just five years old, right up to ‘the big ones’ aged 18.

Drama allows your child to explore ideas and emotions, build empathy through character work, develop teamwork skills and experience the joy of collaboration.  Fun games will have all ages laughing their head off, while the teens express topical ideas and opinions in class performance pieces.  Above all, drama gives children a safe space to try new things with like-minded friends.  Their ‘takeaway’ from drama classes will be the confidence to grasp opportunities that come their way throughout life and not be afraid to ‘give it a try’.

If your child is a little unsure, StageAbility always offers a free trial class so that your child can check us out before making any commitment.

Drama classes take place after-school across the week in Tilehurst, Burghfield Common, Mortimer, Earley and Wokingham.StageAbility also runs Musical Theatre classes for all age groups, so if your child like to sing, dance and act, come along and give it a try.  Classes take place in Earley (age 12+) and Mortimer (ages 6-12).  All abilities are welcome.

Drama and Musical Theatre Holiday Camps are also organised in most school holidays, with the highlight being the ‘Show in a Week’ summer camp.  Again, beginners are always welcome.

Does your child want to get on stage?  StageAbility runs a youth theatre which puts on two big productions every year: a spring musical and a Christmas pantomime.  Rehearsals in Earley on Sunday afternoons.  Come and join the fun!
