The Best Disney Movies to Introduce Your Kids to at Christmas

A Christmas Carol (2009)

There have been many retellings of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” in the years since its release. Disney’s 2009 film with Jim Carey starring as Ebenezer Scrooge is certainly up there as one of the best.

This classic story teaches us that there’s goodness inside of everyone, and Christmas is the perfect time to bring it out. With brilliant 3D computer-animated graphics, this wonderful story is retold in a way that your kids will love, and it’s sure to get everyone thinking about the Christmas spirit.

The Santa Clause (1994)

Who wouldn’t love to help Santa out with his wonderful work? Well, that’s exactly what Scott gets to do, but there’s a catch, he unwittingly commits to becoming the next Santa. With plenty of hilarious moments, Scott realises there are many challenges he has to overcome as Santa, not least, his ex-wife.

This is a movie the whole family can enjoy while thoroughly getting into the Christmas spirit.

Frozen (2013)

There’s always the debate between Disney and Pixar, and as Cashlady points out, the great thing is that we get to enjoy both of them. With Frozen, though, Disney certainly has a mega-hit on their hands.

This movie is just brilliant and a beautiful story to watch with the kids at Christmas. Watch some of the most famous characters in the world save the day in this wintery tale.

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas (1999)

Mickey has been around since 1928, but he’s still one of the world’s most famous characters. So, who better to spend Christmas with by watching Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas?

These short stories show us exactly what Christmas means by following the adventures of Mickey and his friends. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy all feature in a film that’s sure to be a Christmas favorite for your little ones.

It’s the most magical time of the year, and it wouldn’t be the same without Disney’s most famous character.

Santa Buddies: The Legend of Santa Paws (2009)

Christmas and cute dogs, what more could you want?

Puppy Paws, the son of Santa’s chief dog Santa Paws, has lost some of his Christmas spirit and leaves the North Pole for Fernfield, where he runs into the Buddies siblings. While he’s away, the Christmas spirit that powers Santa’s toy-making process dwindles though, and Christmas is in jeopardy.

How will the pups save Christmas? You and your kids will have a wonderful time finding out in this heart-warming movie – a must for the dog-lovers out there.
