Making wishes come true this Christmas, Brenda’s professional career started when she was the last woman standing in the 2005 season of The X Factor. Join Watford Palace Theatre for this year’s magical family pantomime, Cinderella! Making his 11th appearance in the show is Watford’s favourite Dame, Terence Frisch; your local theatre has been THE home of panto since 1908, and Christmas just isn’t the same without it! With set and costume designs by the award-winning Cleo Pettitt, a hilarious script by Teresa Burns, catchy 90’s hits, and Britney and Christina (the step-sisters!), there really is something for everyone to enjoy at the Watford Palace panto!
On New Year’s Eve in Watford, Cinderella wants to party ‘like its 1999’ but her stepmother has other ideas…
Cinderella loves music. Every night she dances alone in her room (cellar) and gets lost in the music – that is, until her dodgy CD Walkman gives out.
Meanwhile, over at the Palace, the King vows to throw the ‘Party of the Century’ in a bid to find the Prince of Pinner a wife. And with Cinderella’s stepmother hell-bent on her daughters (Britney & Christina) marrying up, she sees this as their golden opportunity…
Tickets start at just £11, and with discounts for schools, large groups, concessions and access users, the Watford Palace Theatre pantomime is the quality you’d expect at a price you’ll love! With audio described, captioned, and relaxed performances on offer, we have a performance to suit every need and budget, so don’t delay – the clock is ticking – book your tickets today!
Cockfield’s Farm is the ultimate Christmas destination, with lots of lovely activities and animals to entertain the kids, in a wonderful festive setting.
Your Christmas journey will typically take about two delightful hours, with our immersive experience kicking off at Passport Control, where the children receive their very own passports. These passports serve as a treasure map, guiding them through a series of captivating stops along the way. Guided by our chief Elf, they are introduced to Santa, who after a heartwarming chat and professional photo opportunity, gifts them with a special “gold coin” allowing them to choose their favourite toy from the Christmas Toyshop, with the assistance of our devoted Toy Soldier.
Next, they visit the North Pole Sorting Office, where the Postmaster collects their chosen toy ticket and provides a postcard and pen for a thank-you letter to Santa, to be placed in our North Pole Post-box.
The adventure continues in the Elf Village, where they have the chance to snuggle with our fluffy animals, then later a visit to Mrs. Claus’s kitchen to decorate delectable biscuits. A stop at the Animal Barn introduces them to Prancer and Dancer and an opportunity to create their own Reindeer dust. The day concludes at our Elf Academy, where they craft their very own bear to take home, leaving our farm with hearts brimming with joy, just in time to dance under our snowfall machine.
Child tickets start from £25, but in limited numbers, so book as soon as possible to secure your preferred time slot and ticket price.
Tickets only available online at cockfields.co.uk/events/christmas-2023

The festive season is once again in full swing at Stagecoach Performing Arts and we’ve got plenty of activities planned for the yuletide. Whilst many of our schools are coming towards the end of their Autumn Terms, this means that a lot of them are gearing up for their end-of-term performances and festive workshops. These workshops usually start up during the school holidays and involve putting on a show in a matter of days (a performance that parents and guardians are invited to come and watch!).
Outside of the Stagecoach schools themselves, we also have some exciting showcase events that many students will be taking part in as we near Christmas day. These include a festive event in Cheltenham with many schools performing their own renditions of some classic winterly tunes. Later in December, several groups will be heading across the Channel to Disneyland Paris where we’ll be working with Disney Performing Arts on the ‘Let’s Sing Christmas’ event!
We also recently ran a Christmas card competition for students to create a design for the annual Stagecoach Christmas card and the winner was a student from Stagecoach Darmstadt in Germany who sent in a design featuring a cheeky elf.
If you’re interested in signing up your child for a festive workshop or the next term at Stagecoach, or if you just want to try a Two Week Trial to know if it’s for you, you can search for your local school at stagecoach.co.uk
