Putting the Fun into Coding Fundamentals! – Educational Toys

Early childhood developmental toys

Our company is also known for our innovative and fun coding robots that introduce the fundamentals of computational thinking and programming concepts through hands-on play, and we’re proud of the many awards our coding robots win.

We make coding robots for children as young as age 4 that combine imaginative play with learning opportunities. We’re known for our Coding Critters® range that introduces basics such as step logic, if-then thinking, algorithms, debugging and more, through hands-on, push-button coding. The addition of imaginative play and storytelling into the play pattern makes learning these abstract concepts fun and exciting for young coders.

All our early years coding robots are 100% screen-free. Children operate the Coding Critters, Switcheroo™ Coding Crew, Space Rover, Code & Go® Robot Mouse and award-winning Botley® 2.0 the Coding Robot, by pushing directional arrow buttons to input their code. When they activate their robot, they get to see the code run right in front of their eyes as the robots move and do actions! This makes the concepts real for them in fun and exciting ways.

There are also robots for older children including PYXEL™ a Coder’s Best Friend which is suitable for coders aged 8+. PYXEL teaches children the real coding languages Blockly and Python as they use PYXEL’s UI to code their robot to do cool tricks including wag its tail, bark and more. It even has colour-changing lights and can express emotions!
