The Ellendel School of Speech and Drama opened in 2016 in South London and today is one of London’s leading Speech and Drama schools with classes in Beckenham, Putney, Wandsworth, Wimbledon and online classes to students across the UK. We offer a bespoke programme of study to suit the needs of all students with highly qualified and accredited teachers.
Our classes give your child the support and guidance they need to become confident and articulate young people. Is your child shy and reluctant to talk out in class? Or perhaps your child is creative and bursting with energy; Speech and Drama classes are the perfect way for them to express their creativity.
Students will explore the art of communication working through a variety of mediums. Voice production will be developed to enable ease of communication and clarity. Body language, facial expression, eye contact, posture and gesture will be the focus of all units (poetry, prose, drama and speech) helping students to reflect on non-verbal communication and become confident communicators. Students will improve their speech writing skills when preparing for Public Speaking where they will work on structure, language features and engagement with current societal themes and issues. Students will improve their critical thinking skills and build their self- confidence through impromptu speaking.
Increase your child’s confidence and skill in all modes of speech communication, whether for social, professional or public situations with Speech and Drama lessons.
At Ellendel, we believe that self-confidence, resilience, and effective communication skills are immensely important and this forms the foundation of all our lessons.
