In this engaging textiles class, you will delve into the world of weaving, knitting, and crochet, under the guidance of three talented artists. Throughout the week, you will learn how to weave, crochet, and knit your own textile masterpiece, all inspired by the beauty of Hampstead Heath.

Embrace the natural surroundings of Hampstead Heath as you forage for inspiration, using the colours, forms, and textures of the landscape to inform your creations.
Don’t worry if you’re a beginner! This workshop is designed for ages 8+ and teenagers who love art and are eager to learn new skills in a supportive environment. You’ll be introduced to various materials and techniques, with the artists providing guidance every step of the way.
Throughout the week, you will feel inspired as you immerse yourself in the textile art world. By the end of the class, you will have designed and crafted your own unique mixed media Art Piece, with the option to make it wearable. This experience is not only a great opportunity to develop your creative skills but also to create portfolio-worthy pieces for future endeavours in Art and Textiles GCSE and A-Level.
