Activity Description

Our Tap dance classes follow the IDTA syllabus and encourage pupils to explore rhythm and musicality whilst learning about this exciting, age old style of dance seen in many classic movies and theatrical productions.

Classes are offered for pupils aged 3-18 years old with the opportunity to take examinations with the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA). Our Preparatory and Primary classes offer young dancers aged 4-8 the perfect introduction to this fun style of dance. These are often extremely lively classes with pupils exploring a range of new sounds and skills with their feet. As pupils progress through the Grades they continue to learn new steps, explore different rhythms and time signatures and hone their skills, musically and physically, using their brains as much as their bodies.
