SEN Reading Groups by The Life Skills Project aim to provide a supportive & accessible reading opportunities for children, young people & adults with SEN & additional needs, to develop reading confidence, comprehension & engagement.
Each SEN Reading Group by The Life Skills Project is led by a qualified SEN teacher & supported by an experienced support assistant, using evidence-based strategies & approaches to make reading accessible, engaging & meaningful. Learners can explore stories, broaden vocabulary & self-expression in a supportive & encouraging environment — building not only literacy skills but also focus, communication & social skills.
SEN Reading Groups by The Life Skills Project are designed to support learners to reconnect with reading as a positive, achievable experience — whether developing early decoding skills or deepening comprehension, fluency & understanding.
The Life Skills Project is accepting termly-enrollment in SEN Reading Groups held in Woking, Surrey, starting from January 2026, as follows:
Ages 9 – 11 years: THURSDAY 4pm – 5pm
Ages 12 – 14 years: THURSDAY 5:15pm – 6:15pm
Ages 15 – 17 years: THURSDAY 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Ages 18+ years: MONDAY 10:00am – 11:00am
