Ignite Hubs is an award-winning education charity for children and young people. We inspire the next generation of STEM trailblazers, creative thinkers and digital whizzes. Our mission is to ignite the potential of young minds by widening their horizons and equipping them with the skills, confidence and connections to pursue careers in tech, STEM and creative industries.

ONLINE CREATIVE WRITING – Level 1
Age: 9 to 13
Every Thursday from 5pm to 6pm (term time only)

Jump into the world of creative writing with our Level One course! It is perfect for young writers who want to craft imaginative characters and settings and build storytelling skills. No experience is needed for this class – just your imagination and curiosity. Our qualified instructors and friendly volunteers will help you grow as a writer.

You can learn to:
• Invent your own characters
• Create magical worlds, design maps, and imagine extraordinary settings
• Structure a longer story with a clear beginning, middle and end
• Build confidence and unlock creativity

Term Dates: 15th January to 19th March 2026

ONLINE CREATIVE WRITING – Level 2
Age: 10 to 16
Every Tuesday 5pm to 6pm

For returning students or passionate young writers who are already developing their own stories independently, this advanced course will help you dive deeper into the craft of storytelling. It focuses on refining skills, experimenting with more advanced techniques, and developing your own voice as a writer. With guidance from our experienced instructors, you’ll tackle ambitious creative challenges and have the opportunity to work on longer or complete works of fiction.

You can learn to:
• Develop complex characters with depth and motivation
• Experiment with different genres and narrative styles
• Build intricate worlds
• Explore voice and perspective

Term Dates: 13th January to 17th March 2026

We offer FULLY FUNDED places if your household is on any benefits or earn less than £30k or less. If you are unable to afford our classes and do not fall in the above two categories, please contact us for details of our Bursary fund. Cost should not be a barrier for your child to learn with us.
